Quick Video Tutorial to Make Lemonade Stand Practice Activity
What you’ll need:
- Free Lemonade Stand printed pages (get these when you are signed-up to our Practice Pax Club newsletter). It will be in your inbox in minutes!
- Sign-up at https://practicepax.com/pages/subscribe
- Glue and scissors
- 1 piece of construction paper
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Print pages 1-2 on a color printer at 100% original size.
2. Fold the lemonade stand paper in half vertically with the picture on the outside so you can see that you’re folding on the dark brown line of the table (right above the bowl of lemons and $1 sign).
3. With the paper folded in half, cut along the two dotted edges of the table. Keep the table popped out and fold the white sides of the paper backwards. This will now look like a “pop-out” card. Fold the top and bottom of the table so the table sharply pops out. Crease all lines again.
4. Take a piece of cardstock paper (or regular paper) and fold it in half vertically. Use a glue stick generously along the interior border of the folded cardstock. Now affix the lemonade stand folded page inside the cardstock to add extra support.
5. Cut out the dollars, lemonade cups, and yellow awning. Place the lemonade cups on the cup picture on the table. Place the dollars somewhere in the practice room where the parent, teacher, or child can get them.
6. Fold the awning along the grey line. Then fold one more time further down about the same width. Glue or tape the “popped out” awning on the back side of the lemonade stand so it hangs over the table.
7. If the activity will be used often or with multiple children, use clear packing tape to “laminate” the dollars and lemonade cups by placing a piece of tape on each side of a dollar or cup to completely cover it. Then trim excess tape around it.

PRACTICE TIME
8. Write 4 practice spots to work on. For example, if your child is assigned a scale, write “C Major Scale” or “top octave 5xs” (if the top octave is tricky for them). If they need more than 4 practice spots, write two practice items by each lemon or use a notebook for more practice ideas for the child to reference.
9. After each practice spot is done, the child “sells” a lemonade to the participating adult and is given a dollar to place on the lemonade table money pile. If they are practicing alone, the child can decide when they have earned each dollar and place the lemonade cups in a chosen discard pile.

Have a SWEET practice!
